The Soiree is a fundraiser for American Cancer Society's vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. ACS is improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.  Donations from this year's paddle raise will be restricted to support an American Cancer Society cancer research grant in Washington state.

American Cancer Society's 2023 Washington Impact

This year, including the Soiree, we have raised more than $4.7M in Washington state to support our efforts to end cancer as we know it. And the American Cancer Society is investing even more right back into our community. In 2023, nearly $11M was invested right here in Washington through patient support, research, and our advocacy efforts. 

$185,000 transportation and lodging grants with health systems across the state. 852 roundtrip free rides to and from treatment through our volunteer led Road To Recovery program.  

4,439 calls were made tour 24/7 National Cancer Information Center where cancer information, answers, and hope are available every minute of every day.

$10.58 million dollars is invested in 18 research grants in Washington at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle Children's Hospital, and University of Washington.

$155,500 cancer screening grants, helping to increase chances of early detection and improve survival rates.
